INTACS
IntacsTM, a reversible/exchangeable vision correction procedure, is a quick, painless, non-laser procedure that can correct mild to moderate nearsightedness and keratoconus.
IntacsTM are clear inserts designed to reshape the cornea to correct vision. They are made of a material that has been safely used in contact lenses and cataract surgery for over 50 years. Intacs cannot be felt or seen as they remain below the surface of the cornea. The 10-minute procedure does not require any needles or shots.
With Dr. Boxer Wachler's custom technique, you can be certain that all safety measures have been addressed.
- IntacsTM are exchangeable and removable to accommodate future vision needs
- Separate sterile equipment is used for each eye to reduce the risk of infection
- Infrared pupil measuring equipment is used to determine the risk of glare and halos
