Dr. Frederick S. Brightbill is the Medical Director at New Vision. He is a world-renowned corneal surgeon and specialist in corneal disease, and has over 27 years of experience in the field. He is a clinical professor at the Medical School of the University of Wisconsin - Madison, and past physician and surgeon for many years at Davis Duehr Eye Clinic.

Dr. Brightbill has performed refractive laser procedures since 1994. He was the second ophthalmologist to perform refractive laser eye surgery in Wisconsin, and the first in the city of Madison. Dr. Brightbill is a certified physician trainer for the VISX Star S3 excimer laser and has trained over 150 opthamolologists in its use.
