Exam Information

Here at Hoopes Vision Correction Center we would like to offer you a free evaluation to help you determine if you truly are a good candidate for laser vision correction. The complimentary evaluation is only a brief exam and does not take the place of a complete ophthalmologic exam. If it is determined that you are indeed a good candidate, we will schedule a comprehensive eye examination at another date. You are under no obligation. No diagnosis or treatment will be given.

Lasers

"Flying spot" technology

Bausch & Lomb's Technolas® 217A is the world's leading excimer laser. Its innovative "flying spot" technology produces an extremely smooth corneal surface.

Unlike current standard lasers, the Technolas 217A uses a state-of-the-art feedback mechanism that makes sure every pulse is placed exactly as prescribed.

The Technolas 217A is the only laser designed ergonomically for LASIK. Which means greater comfort for you and greater flexibility for your surgeon.

Laser Radar Tracker

The LADARVision® system addresses the challenge of eye movement with its incredibly fast and accurate laser radar eye tracking system. Adapting a tracking concept originally developed by NASA, the LADARVision® system employs technology that tracks eye movements 4,000 times a second, more than fast enough to follow, and compensate for, eye movement.

LADARVision Laser

LADARV ision's small 0.8 mm flying small-spot laser beam is very precise, gradually shaping the cornea by removing the least amount of tissue necessary for refractive error correction. This small-beam laser represents the next generation of excimer laser technology.

Sunrise Hyperion LTK

The SUNRISE LTKTM procedure is designed specifically for people age 40 and older who have low to moderate farsightedness.

A non-contact laser procedure, Laser Thermal Keratoplasty (LTK) uses a beam of laser energy to gently reshape the cornea (outer layer of the eye).

The SUNRISE LTKTM Procedure is so fast that the laser application takes about three seconds per eye.

Continuous Improvement

A database is kept of all past procedures. Dr. Hoopes is constantly analyzing the data to help determine what procedure is best for the individual.
