LASIK

FREE Evaluation

Our free consultation includes a corneal topography, prescription review, pupil evaluation (size), and possible pachymetry measurements to determine corneal thickness. We also discuss the patient's lifestyle and visual needs, as well as the risks and benefits of the procedure with our refractive coordinator. The patient will then meet with the surgeon and have the opportunity to discuss the procedure, other available options, or ask any further questions they may have. This appointment will typically last for one hour. If the patient decides surgery is the option they want to pursue, we will schedule a LASIK evaluation for the patient.

Lasers

VISX Star S3 with ActiveTrakTM - FDA-approved to treat:

  • Myopia less than -14.0D with or without astigmatism between -0.5 and -5.0D
  • Hyperopia between +0.5 and +5.0D with or without astigmatism up to +3.0D
  • Mixed astigmatism up to 6.0D

VISX laser systems have features that translate into several advantages for you:

  • VISX laser systems produce the smoothest surface on the cornea after the procedure. Smoother ablations, as they're known, promote faster healing and result in better vision.

  • VISX laser systems allow the doctor to track your eye movement in all three dimensions during the treatment, for greater control.

  • VISX laser systems achieve an optical zone that may result in reduced problems with night vision

  • VISX ActiveTrakTM laser systems produce seven variable sized beams, giving the doctor greater flexibility and allowing for a faster, smoother treatment with precise corneal shaping.

  • VISX laser systems require a shorter procedure time, which enhances comfort and may reduce the risk of postoperative complications.
