I have had the LASIK surgery done and am going through what I assume is normal recovery. My previous vision prescription was 6.75 diopters in my right eye and 7.50 diopters in my left eye. Obviously, I was quite blind without glasses or contacts!!

The day following LASIK surgery, Dr. Rothchild removed my "bugeye" shields and measured my vision at 20/30. This was really quite amazing to me, but he said I would continue to improve and to return in 1 week and to make sure to use the drops he gave me every 3-4 hours. This drop business is a pain, but I suppose it is a small sacrifice. I am looking forward to having 20/20 vision or better. My husband had RK done 5 years ago and he has 20/15 in one eye and 20/20 in the other eye. I have to at least see as well as him!!!

Dr. Rothchild promised he would make me happy. I am being patient.
