As for the
surgery--
it was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
I was very near-sighted before the surgery
and my vision was somewhere in the neighborhood of 20/200. I saw 20/40
immediately after the surgery. Dr. Katz was wonderful and the surgery
was quick and painless. He explained and answered all of my questions.
I did encounter a little post-op problem. It turns out that my eye-lids
are short and do not close 100% of the way during my sleeping hours.
Dr. Katz made me feel like he honestly cares, which is always a plus.
He was very professional and I would recommend him to anyone.

This LASIK surgery
was a great decision for me,
and I could not be happier.
I have been wearing contacts and glasses
for the past ten years or so, and I hated it! Contact lenses were too
uncomfortable and irritated my eyes and glasses do not look nice when
you are dressed to go out. My daughter arranged for me to have the LASIK
surgery at Scheie Eye Institute with Dr. Sulewski. I was nervous to
say the least, I mean we are talking about my eyes! I was told not to
wear makeup for 24 hours before I came for the LASIK surgery. All in
all it was over before I knew it. I had some discomfort over the first
night, but the next morning I felt fine. I called my daughter the next
day and told her I could read the buttons on the VCR after all of these
years! My vision continues to improve, and the discomfort has ceased.
Lisa Pritchard is the coordinator there, and she was very helpful in
answering my questions. I would recommend Dr. Sulewski and his staff
to my own family.
